initial ideas and influence

Over the summer prior to the start of my MSc Sound Design course, i leisurely read "The Music Instinct: how music works and why we can't do without it" by Philip ball. I was very taken by its informative style and learnt many things from it. I believe it to be the start of which direction i will formulate an idea for my research paper.
